RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initation of Adults. It is the process by which an unbaptized person enters the Catholic Church through the Sacrament of Baptism or by which a baptized person comes into full communion in the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
There is no set timeframe for how long the process lasts, but it usually lasts about 9 months, sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. RCIA candidates meet with Fr Sebastion once a week for 90 minutes to help go deeper in their faith and to learn more about the Catholic Faith. Catholics are welcome to attend the sessions, as well, to continue learning about the Faith. The RCIA process culminates with the Easter Vigil when the RCIA candidates receive Baptism, Confirmation and/or Eucharist.
If you are interested in joining the Catholic Church, download and complete the following forms below (as necessary). Once you have done so, contact Fr Sebastian, and he will explain the next steps in beginning the RCIA process.
